Just as the pre-lens tear film is important during lens wear, the post-lens tear film stability introduced by the Smart Curve determines several essential factors, which include oxygen transmission to the cornea, cushioning of the lens and conjuctival epithelium during movement, cellular and inflammatory debris removal, and epithelial layer lubrication. Diminishing of the post-lens tear film may pose a significant threat to the ocular health including infection, inflammation, mechanical desiccation, or inferior arcuate staining. Aspherical The Asperical design is meant to minimize optical aberration which gives better visual acuity in the meanwhile, resulting in better comfort and statisfaction. Human eyes have roughly +0.10D spherical aberration on average, with the minimum level at around 19, when the aberration is 0.0 microns. Almoist+ Wetting Agent Tailored for Silicone Hydrogel lenses, the Almoist+ agent is an upgrade of the Almoist facilitated to repair the lipid layer of tear film. AlMoist + incorporates the benefits of comfort as the AlMoist agent offers, plus the formula containing hyaluronic acid. Studies have found the addition of Hyaluronic Acid to contact lenses result in less protein adsorption and extending the tear break-up time. The ability is critical due to the denatured protein themselves are likely to increase susceptibility to the development of contact lens induced papillary conjunctivitis (CLPC), and the longer tear break-up time implies in-vivo surface wettability, visual quality, lubrication and so on.
